What "verified" means

For each rate we track checkedAt — the date ingestion last successfully re-read it at the bank's official source — and effectiveDate, the date the bank states it applies from. "Verified in last N days" uses checkedAt (falling back to effectiveDate for rows captured before we tracked checks). 96.4% of rates come from a bank's own website or rate circular (quality: OFFICIAL); the rest from recognised aggregators, clearly labelled.

Every figure here is computed at build time from the live dataset, so it can't drift from what the site actually shows. See the raw numbers in the API or the full open dataset.

Audit trail. Each time ingestion reads a bank's page or PDF, it records a SHA-256 fingerprint of that exact document (contentHash + capturedAt on the rate's source). It's a tamper-evident receipt: proof of precisely what the bank published when we captured it — not a stored copy, just its cryptographic signature.
