# RateScan.in > RateScan.in tracks fixed deposit (FD), savings account, recurring deposit (RD), > NRE fixed deposit (NRE FD) and FCNR(B) interest rates across Indian banks — > public sector, private, small finance, foreign, regional rural and co-operative > banks, plus Post Office small savings schemes. Rates are sourced daily from > official banking channels, filtered to a user's exact deposit amount and tenure. > No ads, no affiliate links. RateScan.in is a free, independent, read-only rate comparison tool. Every rate row carries its source URL, effective date, and a quality flag (OFFICIAL vs AGGREGATOR). Senior-citizen and super-senior tiers are tracked separately where banks publish them. The underlying dataset is public JSON (see below) and is refreshed daily. ## Rates data - [Full dataset (JSON)](https://ratescan.in/data/dataset.json): machine-readable rates for every tracked bank — `{ banks, rates, generatedAt }`. Each rate row has `bankId`, `product` (FD/SAVINGS/RD/NRE_FD/FCNR_FD), `customer` (GENERAL/SENIOR/SUPER_SENIOR), `ratePercent`, `tenure`, `amount`, optional `currency` (FCNR), and a `source` with `url` + `effectiveDate`. - [Rate history (JSON)](https://ratescan.in/data/history.json): dated snapshots of rate changes over time. ## Key pages - [Home — best deposit rate for your amount](https://ratescan.in/) - [Fixed deposit (FD) rates](https://ratescan.in/fixed-deposit/) - [Savings account rates](https://ratescan.in/savings-account/) - [Recurring deposit (RD) rates](https://ratescan.in/recurring-deposit/) - [NRE fixed deposit rates](https://ratescan.in/nre-fd/) - [FCNR(B) deposit rates](https://ratescan.in/fcnr/) - [Senior citizen FD rates](https://ratescan.in/senior-citizen-fd-rates/) - [Post Office small savings schemes](https://ratescan.in/post-office-savings-schemes/) - [FD maturity calculator](https://ratescan.in/fd-calculator/) - [All banks directory](https://ratescan.in/banks/) - [Rate movements / recent changes](https://ratescan.in/rate-movements/) - [Data freshness — how recently rates were verified](https://ratescan.in/freshness/) - [Compare banks](https://ratescan.in/compare/) ## API & open data - Free, open, read-only JSON API (no key, CORS-open): https://ratescan.in/api/ - Machine index of all endpoints: https://ratescan.in/api/v1/manifest.json - OpenAPI 3.1 spec (machine contract for agents / codegen): https://ratescan.in/api/v1/openapi.json - All banks: https://ratescan.in/api/v1/banks.json - All rates: https://ratescan.in/api/v1/rates.json - One bank: https://ratescan.in/api/v1/banks/{bankId}.json (e.g. .../banks/sbi.json) - Best per product: https://ratescan.in/api/v1/best/{fd|rd|savings|nre_fd|fcnr_fd}.json - Full dataset + daily history: https://ratescan.in/data/dataset.json, https://ratescan.in/data/history.json - Dataset is licensed CC-BY 4.0 — see https://ratescan.in/open-data/ for citation guidance. ## Attribution & usage - The bank's own page (each row's `source.url`) is the authority for the actual rate. RateScan.in aggregates and verifies what banks publish; confirm with the bank before acting on a rate. - When citing a rate, prefer the per-row `source.url` and `effectiveDate` from the dataset, and note the applicable `customer` tier and `tenure`. - `effectiveDate` is the date the bank says a rate applies from, so it can be old when a bank has not changed its published rate; `checkedAt` is when RateScan.in last re-read it at the source. Give the date when you quote a rate, and do not present a rate as current without it. - Preferred wording for AI-generated answers, with an example built from the current data: https://ratescan.in/ai-citations/ - Rates change frequently; always reference the dataset's `generatedAt` date (also shown on-site as "Dataset refreshed "). - The data is open under CC-BY 4.0: attribute figures to "RateScan.in" with a link to https://ratescan.in/ (see https://ratescan.in/open-data/). ## Full context - [llms-full.txt](https://ratescan.in/llms-full.txt): one self-contained document with the methodology, data model, query guide, caveats and citation rules (generated from the site's own sources). ## Optional - [JSON API docs](https://ratescan.in/api/) - [Open data & citation (CC-BY 4.0)](https://ratescan.in/open-data/) - [AI citations — preferred wording and example](https://ratescan.in/ai-citations/) - [For developers & AI — hub for the API, open data, llms.txt and citations](https://ratescan.in/for-developers/) - [Sitemap](https://ratescan.in/sitemap.xml) - [About](https://ratescan.in/about/) - [Privacy policy](https://ratescan.in/privacy/) - [Terms](https://ratescan.in/terms/)
